Dr. Sharon K. Wong, DVM, owner & founder of Best Friends Mobile Veterinary Services, LLC, is a native of Georgia. She has lived in Athens, GA since graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She created her practice initially to have a work/life balance. Her desire was to deliver personalized, professional veterinary care at home.
Dr. Wong’s vision is to empower pet owners to make life-long educated decisions about their pet’s health care & well-being. She recognizes everyone as an individual & celebrates each pet’s uniqueness. She has participated
in Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion continuing education.
Her hobbies include: ice dance, hiking, & travel. She
was featured on US Figure Skating ‘s website in “Members Doing Their part during COVID-19.” Other athletic awards she has won: USTA tennis champion, & won a prize for putting at a veterinary golf tournament.

In spite of the many services in which Mobile Vet Best Friends provides, there are some limitations. First, as a mobile vet, I am not able to provide long term or extensive hospitalization. If your pet requires this type of service, I may need to refer you to a traditional brick and mortar veterinary hospital. Second, I am not an emergency ambulatory service and thus may not be able to accommodate all immediate emergencies. I try to see clients on an appointment basis and will see emergencies at present time only if scheduled and location permits. Third, during times of inclement weather, there is no service including icy roads and hazardous conditions. Fourth and finally, payment is due at the time of service in the form of cash, VISA, Mastercard, ApplyPay or Venmo.
